Okay, am I the only person having trouble accessing this supposedly great 5G WiFi on a regular basis? I sit pretty close to an exit so I can still get my Verizon data most of time albeit slowly.

It it seems like every other arena that I’ve been in outside of Wichita doesn’t have this problem.

Only 3 games in and no real trouble; however, it can be tricky to get on right after any stop in play (Time outs, official time outs, halftime etc) obviously because nearly everyone rushes on the network then. I’ve been to several arena/stadium and nearly all of them have been hit or miss, I just expect it to be bad and get a little surprise if it doesn’t completely suck.
If you're not going to go all the way, why go?

I happen to know the person that was in charge of the wifi yesterday (brought in because of staffing needs over the holiday weekend) and he takes pride in what he does. There are some limitations that can't be fixed by managing the system, but I'm not surprised it was better yesterday. It was outstanding where I was, not that I had any influence on AP directional pointing.

I tried it about 20 min before game time. Turned off my cellular data to deconflict and it connected but then was very slow and threw me off. That’s probably when your friend arrived because that was the last time I tried to connect yesterday. I sit about 12 rows behind you,one section over.

I wanna say something about porn here but those jokes just aren't that funny anymore. Anybody still looking at porn sites with quality folks like Kardashian mainstreaming it? Porn used to make up like 1/3 of the total internet bandwidth.

It may not even be legal to say porn anymore... Am I gonna get sued by the ACLU now?

5G and WiFi are separate technologies using separate infrastructures. If you were trying to use 5G, the performance wil degrade as more users come onto the network, especially if you are connecting to cell towers outside the arena. Some arenas deploy Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) that place a series of small cellular antennas and repeaters to a carriers network via fiber optic cable.

If you were using WiFi, then it's also dependent on AP placement, and saturation that can vary depending on the AP your phone connects to.

I can't get it to English, but I do speak a little Jive:

One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

....and I still couldn’t get it to work Saturday, nor could the three or four people around me that were trying to connect.
