For the record, on the radio, it's 1240 KNSS.

Weird. When did KNSS become KFH?

Probably calls him Mark, short for Markis.

He knows the underdog role suits him and his players... It just feels that much better when you under promise and over deliver

It sounds like Coach Marshall is liking him some zone.

I would guess that will be the case and I also think you'll see him use more full court pressure than in the past.

Our coach likes zone? Have we entered a parallel universe?
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

I think our coach likes winning more than anything else, and will do whatever he thinks gives his team the best chance to do so. Flexibility is a wonderful thing, and it's a hallmark of skill in the coaching profession. After all, who would ever have thought Nick Saban, the guy who had Derrick Henry carry the ball 90(!) times in two games spread over eight days when that was what it took to win, would coach a team that gets 60% of its yardage through the air? But that's what his guys do best, so that's what he does.

If 3G gets the Shocks to the AAC tournament championship game and he thinks he needs to play zone for 30 minutes to win, that's what you'll see.

His first couple years here the team did quite a bit of zone. Like WSUwatcher said, it has to do with what works best for the guys that are out there.
