UNI's at-large chances took a tiny hit today.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

It would seem the at-large fever has spread however.

EXCELLENT win by the Redbirds! I didn't think they had a prayer. HUGE win for any at large hopes they may have. Major props to the Indiana MVC schools for coming up big, especially Evansville and Valpo. 5-3 in the challenge Big win over BYU solid night for the MVC. Keep it up everybody!

Lastly, to be fair, the American is an embarrassing 0-2 against the Valley. While we bent over most of what's left of that league for close to the last decade, it would be nice if UCF could right the ship. Not sure if there are any other matchups or not.

I am not so sure that UNI will be able to defeat Grand Canyon or Stony Brook.

    • South Dakota State showed how to put two halves together. 40-25 and 42-25 against UNI in their 82-50 win.

I think comparing Baylor to UNI is a little bit insulting, but your point still stands.

And here I thought I was comparing what South Dakota State did vs what the Shockers were unable to do.

      • Houston peeing down their leg too. They came out with a 4 point win after leading by 19 at half.

        • Houston looks good. So does UCONN. And Temple, Cincy and UCF look more than solid as well. Don't think Tulane or USF are very good, everyone else has something to prove.

          • The Fighting Chris Jans' moved to 6-1 last night with a hard fought 6 point win against Washington State. Already wins over a P5, rivals UTEPX2 and AT New Mexico, New Mexico State get New Mexico again, this time at home, before that team up north in the Sprint Center next Saturday. 6 different players have led the team in scoring in their 7 games so far. CJ can coach, bigly.

I assume the doubters among the Aggie fans base have been totally vanquished.

          • UCONN is so much better coached this year than last. Down 55-51 at home to Arizona at the under 12.

If UCF can beat Mizzou today, it would be a pretty good weekend for the top half of the American against some pretty decent competition.

Good effort, but this conference needs wins, not close losses. Looking more and more like a 2-bid year this year. Somewhat expected but still kinda disappointing, especially since the Big East is down.

Hurley, like most other college coaches, is bad at math. The “not fouling” when down a basket strategy is awful. Had UCONN aggressively fouled with 1:07 left, they win that game.

              • UCF did everything wrong to let Missouri take them to OT. Reminded me of UNI / Texas A&M.

And they lose by 2. Bad coaching. There is a reason Dawkins was let go by Stanford.

                  • YES, put that loss squarely on the coach. Two seconds left and all UCF had to do was foul the
guy in front of him standing still. Stood there looking at him and let the guy nail a three. Really
stupid basketball at the end on UCF's part and there was even a time out with 7 secs left to plan.
