I thought the same thing! Similar game, similar build, similar haircut, but Burton is 6” taller.

But yeah, we are gonna hear it a ton
I'm hoping Tyson and Noah have us looking back in a couple years and feeling pretty good about how things worked out.

I agree and I think we will feel pretty good about our backcourt in the coming years, including the guards we have now. I'm just hoping we can land another talented big.

Speaking of backcourts, Georgetown edging Illinois at the half. James Akinjo is tearing it up. So is Mac McClung. They look like they are going to be a pretty dynamite random.

Chicago State is 1-41 in their last 42. Leads Illinois State by 6 late.

Man, the Redturds are putting a whooping on perennial punching bag Chicago State at home, 74-71 with under a minute left.
                    Deuces Valley.
                    ... No really, deuces.

                        No Yarbrough, no win.

                      • Isn't Chicago State perennially one of the worst D1 teams?

Yarbrough was everything for the Jailbirds tonight. Lead them in scoring, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, assists, turnovers, and smirking at Danny boy.

Posters on either MVCFans or the IlSU board were saying the HS girls team could beat ChSt.

Burton is a bigger build too, and better shooter.

Maybe Alex has a better handle and flow for the game, but that part of Burton’s game can continue to develop the further away he gets from his knee injury.

Burton hasn't taken a single jump shot this season that I can recall, so I'm not ready to say he's the better shooter.

Go look at film and tell me Burton doesn’t have the better looking shot...

What would I know though, right?!?!?!

I had to put the stats from game 1 and game 2 together. Lomax is getting some overall stats, but he's 4/18 from the field and 0/3 from 3. I think Haynes-Jones is outplaying him at this point in the season.

Harris is 0/6 in 24 total minutes. DNP against LSU.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Lomax and Harris go 5’9” and 5’10”. I don’t care how good they are at shooting, it’s hard to get shots off at that size.

Lomax didn’t have any trouble getting shots off against LSU. Some were ill advised, but he made a fair amount.

I know we’ve had some success with short guards, but anything under 6’ is really tough. We had a short backcourt with Fred and Conner and they had several inches on these guys.
