SIU gets clobbered again. They are really looking terrible.

Although it sucks for the Valley, I knew it was coming and because some of their fans were asking for it, I don't mind it too much.

          ... No really, deuces.

Ouch. SIU has lost 5 of their last 6 games. Salukis just flat can't score. No way, no how. Are you sure you saw this coming Fever? SIU was the unanimous pre-season #1 pick in the Valley. Drake is on an 8 game winning streak and SIU is in the toilet. I sure didn't see this coming.

If I had enough time on my hands, I'd find the several posts I made here in our Valley preseason stuff that indicated where I thought SIU was overrated and that they weren't gonna do well without Tatum and Young. They were the nucleus of that team.

So honestly yes I kinda saw it coming..

Now Drake being 9-1 at this point was a total mind blow..

Wow, SIU with another amazing performance from the perimeter, going 3-16 for 19%.

No offense to MSNSaluki, but this is exactly the problem SubGod, myself and a few others have used since the summer to justify our doubts that SIU was a clear favorite in the Valley.

In their 5 losses, they are shooting 22.8% from 3. Only one of those 5 losses had a percentage above 25%. In their 4 wins they are 39% from beyond the arc.

The only player attempting more than one 3-pt FG per game that is above 33% is Mullins.

Zone, zone, zone. Double Falker. Victory.

You can't offend me Royal ... I've got half the ass I had in July for questioning on Saluki Talk whether our inexperienced guards would be carry the torch of our guards of the past.

                  We're bad.
                  Real bad.
                  Scary bad.

You've got the perfect game plan.

I'd say we're all of the above as well.

We may have the game plan but that doesn't mean we're gonna execute it. It's still early enough though where things can get corrected by slumping teams and good teams can still fade seeing how we haven't touched on the ol' Valley schedule yet.

Misery loves company, there's a lot of empathy for you Dawgs around here.

First one to 40 looks like will take the WSU-SIU match-ups this year.

                            Go figure.
