This tells me it wasn’t an issue with the coaching. Looks like a homesick move to me.

probably right.....but GM isn't the easiest coach to play for. lol I'm sure GM's style it isn't for everybody.

Kunkel said after he asked for his transfer, he decided he’d rather come back to WSU, but by then his spot had been filled.

Would Reaves have still left if Keyser never wanted to transfer?

Well, he could maybe -- maybe -- come back as a walk-on, but that's probably not practical. So, live and learn -- I hope CJ benefits from the experience and lands on his feet. He definitely has some ability.

That had to be a tough discussion for both CJ and the coaching staff regarding coming back. I recently extended a job offer to someone. After taking time to decide, they declined the offer then called me two days later to ask if the position was still available. Even though I hadn’t filled the position (and desperately needed to), I had to tell them the offer was rescinded. I couldn’t take the risk with the wavering commitment. Sucks for them because they missed out on a great opportunity. I wouldn’t be surprised if this situation was very similar.

I understand the business logic behind your approach, but that could be a two way street. If he was the best candidate out there for the position, then you could be the one missing out on a great candidate. I'm not sure CJ was the best candidate, or certainly HCGM didn't think he was good enough to take back regardless of the wavering.

CJ will fit with the Coastal Carolina style of play. I hope he has a great 2nd half of his career.

Except that he’s going to UNC Central

So I've seen 4 or 5 of the WSU players from last year post something today about "Pray for CJ".

      Anyone know what that's about?

I saw the same thing. I thought maybe CJ had gotten injured off the court? No confirmation of anything and CJ hasn't posted anything either. Hopefully its nothing major.

          Yes.....hope he is ok

BB wise..CJ needs confidence. Athletically he's the baddest MF on the court. But he always looked timid. Love to see this guy find his MOJO where ever it is.
