    Some AP Poll Numbers Against Top 1 & 2 Tiers

    There are only 6 other teams in the TOP-25 this week that have played MORE Tier 1 and Tier 2 Games than Wichita St. so far this season.

    AP POLL # 3 Villanova -18 Games
    AP POLL # 4 Xavier - 19 Games
    AP POLL # 8 Bubble U - 21 Games
    AP POLL # 10 North Carolina - 18 Games
    AP POLL # 19 Tennessee - 17 Games
    AP POLL # 21 West Virginia - 18 Games
    AP POLL # 13 Wichita St. - 16 Games

    There are only 4 teams in the Top-25 this week that have a better WINNING PERCENTAGE against the TOP TIER 1 & 2 teams than Wichita St.

      Yeah, it has been just terrible moving to the American. Just awful having all these Tier 1 and 2 games and winning most of them.

        Just curious...is it cherry picking to limp the tier 1 and 2 games together, or is this a metric?

          It was brought up several times in the committees justifications when they did their top 16 a week or two ago. With that said there always tend to be several “metrics” they use to justify putting the teams in they want to put in.

            Kind of. But it certainly makes Duke look good. Hey...if it makes them look better and the talking heads wanna use it...why not use it for everyone (including us)??? . I mean heck...they got 5 losses too but are sitting at #5 in the country right now and likely to get a 1 or 2 seed..

              We still have 2 tier 1 (Cincy and UCF) and 1 tier two ( SMU) opportunities remaining before the AAC tourney too

                Having conference games that can actually help your NCAA seeding is a wonderful thing.
