The box score reports attendance at 7,180.

However, the Eagle's KSU beat writer Kellis Robinett reported:

The first half was new for K-State in many ways. For starters, they played in front of a lively crowd. Attendance has been spotty at Bramlage Coliseum this season, but the lower bowl of Intrust was filled with purple on Saturday.
So most likely they will be back so they can have at least one semi-decent crowd for their non-con games.

I watched part of the game and I assure you the "lower bowl" was not filled with purple. There were many many empty seats behind both benches.

  • Not a game of interest but it looks like one hell of a good time.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Coach Jans has an excellent shot at winning the WAC and playing in March Madness; of course, his seed in the Big Dance will be double digit.

Probably play us in the 1st round...

      • Here is my wishlist for the day: Lasalle pulls off the unattainable against Nova. ASU pulls off the totally attainable against Lawrence. The Zags bury Washington to make the Lawrence loss look even worse. That would be just great.

        • ASU is the opposite of everything that Washington did that caused KU problems. Run-n-gun guards and terrible man defense. This'll be a romp.

          • Tulane is down 29-17 to Florida State at halftime.

Tulane is greatly improved from last year and they play good D but the offence is a real work in progress.

            • Bill Walton snarking on KU is pretty entertaining.

              • La Salle leading #4 Nova by 1 at halftime. La Salle shooting great from 3, Nova shooting bad. Nova 17 FTs to La Salle’s 1. All this means the score probably won’t hold up, but something to watch.

                • I guess it might be time to start thinking about Arizona State passing us.

                  • Nah. Refs are starting to call the phantom phog fouls.

                      • WSU would beat KU by 15 right now. KU is soft, weak with the ball, and easy to guard.

They miss Josh Jackson and Frank Mason's "bulldog" mentality a lot.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.
