Last year's NIT champ, Dayton, got 3 votes in the coach's final poll. Penn State the year before got 14. Neither were in the top 30.

The 16 teams that lost in the round of 32 in the NCAA tourney will fill up spots 17 - 32.

In '06 we finished #16. KU lost in the prior round and was #17.

obviously we need to get to a couple voters, give them a little ca$h, and see if they can't give us some top-10 love.

After seeing the Shox roll through the NIT, and after watching pretty much every NCAA tourney game, I can honesty say I would slot them aorund 12-14.

I wouldn't put us above 20, but definitely in the top 25.

In the last 9 years, the highest an NIT champion has finished in the rankings was Michigan in '04, and they were #32.

Not sure where the CNN/SI early poll was posted.

RTC has the Shocks as an early 23 for next season.
