I agree. I interpret it means he expects some offers. Once your ready to start considering offers you might as well be gone because it is just finding the right bid.

I really appreciate honesty, but it might not exactly help recruiting. There will be a few recruits that might hesitate because they don't know how long he will be here. Of course most recruits know that there is no guarantee that the HC will be there at any school, except the elite schools and even there that's not absolute.

This. Plus how do ANY of us know what he would view as "unbelievable". IMHO that quote is the same thing as not saying anything at all.

I think it's fairly believable that NCState would offer him around 1.5 mil. It's definitely believable that NCState is near Marshall's home, almost as believable that NCState is in the ACC.

Now, "unbelievable" would be a talent-loaded team at the top dropping 2-3 million on a guy who hasn't been to the NCAA tournament yet with the team he's coached for 4 years.
