"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Just hours before the game, I was talking with a K-State fan at work who said this was a big test for WSU. He said, "You guys like to see yourselves in the Big 12 and this is your chance to show how you stack up. This is your test."
I told him then that we would do alright, no worse than Nebraska, Iowa State, CU, TTEch, OSU and OU. We would win our share of home games and pick up a few road wins just like most schools in the bottom 2/3 of the conference do.
This morning I popped into his office and asked, "So, what grade did you give us on the test?"
He said, "A+".

Unfortunately that is the mindset of a lot of BCS coaches. They forget where they come from and if it weren't for the "mid majors", he would not be where he is today.
Must be that once you are away from the mid-major "stink", you never want to go back. That's too bad. I'm sure it's all about job security. If a mid-major beats you, your fan base is screaming. It's too bad these coaches have such a short memory. When they were coaching at the mid major level they hated being treated that way by the BCS "nobility." Now they are doing it.

I think part of the coach's induction ceremony into the Big Boy Club requires them to sign a pledge to screw midmajors as often as possible, primarily by never scheduling them.
There's an award for it at the Big Boy Club Post-Season Awards Banquet.
I'm sure Mark Turgeon has already won the award.
Bill Self is a 5-time winner, tied for the lead with Bruce Weber.
Tad Boyle will be a candidate for the 2012 award unless he violates the code of conduct between now and then.
