    Could have been you Gene....

Or conversely, could have been us.

Remember, SG was the popular name for the GS replacement during those crazy couple of days.

In fact he actively solicited the job.

Would we trade our current status as MIA on the national scene for some Sunny-style success?

I still remember driving back from Norman in June '06 listening to Sunny brag about how he had a staff full of rubber-armed pitchers. Guys like Daniel McCutcheon, who was later busted for steroids.

OU fans, congrats on another great season and another trip to the CWS. We have merely survived for the past two seasons and can only hope to be .500 next season.

As much as GS's professional performance and personal indiscretions have been disappointing, I'll take ol' #10 at the helm over that clusterfrack SG any day of the week.

As for OU and 2010... what's that saying about the squirrel and the nut? Let's just say, I don't foresee a trend.

The OU faith healer helped out that staff tremendously. McCutcheon threw 200+ pitches in two games on two days rest. But the next month when he gets to the minors the drug test turns up positive. It wasn't Pastor Galloway after all. POS.

Except on days when SG's daughter would be sunnin' at the Eck. :D
