I looked, unsuccessfully, for records for most consecutive innings pitched without giving up a run.
Anyone else with more insight there?
I know they have been quoting a number by Sublette from a couple years ago, but I cannot remember what it was. Also, that number may not be a record, probably just the most recent long spell.
Per today's Eagle:
"Cooper, a sophomore, extended his scoreless streak to 27 1/3 innings and is closing in on Terry Hayes’ 1980 record of 30 2/3."
