Preston Springer, Copperheads are TCL Champs

The Copperheads started 2-11, then won 8 of their last 12 to make the playoffs. Now they're TCL Champs with an undefeated run.

Preston was a big reason why, as he was named TCL Player of the Week for the playoff round.

Springer helped Coppell’s run into the playoffs with a .529 average (9-for-17) in the final week of the season. With a double and his first home run of the season, Springer slugged an impressive .765 for the week. He drove in six runs in four games, and scored four more times. The Odessa College sophomore will be continuing his collegiate career at Wichita State.
