I was pulling back after KSU got hit by the tornado a week ago and I got an e-mail for the fund to donate to. I spent much of my college career in the engineering building, which got hit, so I was torn. There is a deadline to this one, while the tornado fund does not. Plus, I have no idea on the progress on the KSU tornado fund, but I do here. I wanted to help you guys hit the goal. WSU baseball is what started me on the path to my enjoyment of baseball (and making myself a better high school player by watching the team), and this is a way to give something back to the program which became part of my life, even when I was attending KSU (it was the main scheduling mechanism on which weekends I went home ;) ).
Freaking awesome man. The fact that you donated despite your ties to KSU and the recent events there really make this a special donation. I can't even say how cool I think this is man. Props!!!

        No problem.

I just have to remember I have baseball trips to budget for to Lake Havasu City (hopefully the evening of July 15th, which would be gas only) and Rancho Belago, CA (an NBC qualifier tournament from July 18th-20th). Nice to see some Shockers on the So Cal Fire, who I follow as I'm friends with their owner/GM, and on the Havasu Heat, which is the closest good NBC team to me. July 15th is the day the Fire and Heat play a doubleheader in Havasu (yeah, it's a Tuesday).

Oh, I am definitely donating my money saved for Omaha. I just need to visit the bank & make sure I have enough to cover tuition. I really want that infield turf replaced . Also, I think this will really help our team in the future and hopefully will lead to us hosting more regional and super regional games. I had the BEST time last year at super regionals against Irvine (well until that got those hits to beat us  ). It took me at least a week to get my voice back. Other programs are building completely new stadiums to compete and upgrade their programs. Here in Wichita, we have a gem and any improvements for Eck, I am all for. Finally, that's why I like most of your guys ideas, especially adding more dirt & fixtures etc into the outfield. I've been telling that to people that I go to the games with or work with for a while now. It's too bad that won't happen with this update though .

Oh and props to SCKSCat and everybody else that has donated. I tip my hat to you!

Our timing is bad. The increase in fuel cost and all the other associated increased costs is impacting personal budgets big time.

Bump. Just over a week to go. If you have been planning on donating and haven't gotten around to it... it's time to start thinking about it.

There is about a week left in this fund raising campaign. This will be my last post in this thread and I would like to say 2 (edit 4) things.

To each of you that took the time to contribute, you are to be congratulated and I thank you. The amount will be less than I hoped for, but a 4 digit contribution from a bunch of internet nerds shows how much some of us really care about the state of Shocker baseball.

Thanks also to RS for taking the time and responsibility to make it happen. Without you, none of this would be possible.

Soapbox time. 21 contributors? I'm sorry but that blows. Easily I can think of 40 posters that I KNOW have the wherewithall to make at least a minor contribution. As I said earlier, I will not comment again on this so let this be my last plea....GIVE!

Thanks again to all that made this happen...Royal....send me the bill.

Royal, what amount has SN collected so far? This is not an idle question. If you don't want to post it on the board, then please PM me.

Make that $1321.86 from 23 donations.

I, too, think there are more than 24 (my contribution included that of another) who could toss $20 or more to the effort. Remember, you'll pay at least that for two of you to attend a game and buy some refreshments.

Come on, Shocker fans, I know you can do it!

Make that $1341.86 from 24 donors.

                          :goshocks:

Now I need to go make a more permanent type of donation to the fund.

How can one contribute without going through the Internet? I've had a bad experience shopping online. Can it be done another way with the credit going to this site? Thanks.
