Not sure what kind of competition they are playing against in the Sunflower League but Travis Young is hitting a very solid 0.380 (12-30) in 32 AB's over 9 games with 9 RBI and only 4 K's plus he has 4 SB's while LHP Trent Allen who will be a Redshirt Freshman next season has an ERA of 2.84 wihth 9 K's and 3 BB's over 12.2 innings.
Dayton Dugas scuffling a bit at Wilmington in the Coastal Plain League as he is at 0.182 but only has 11 AB's so far with 2 singles to his credit.
Don't know much about the Western MBL either but RHP Preston Minor, who also will be a Redshirt Freshman next season has an ERA of 0.00 in 15.2 innings spread over 13 appearances of short relief. He has 8 K's and 6 BB. Those walks are a bit higher than you would like.
Luke Ritter is hitting a very respectable 0.378 (17-45) for Santa Barbara over 16 games. He is also 2nd on the team in walks with 10.
So the Shocks who are playing ball, with the exception of Dayton Dugas, are all doing quite well so far this summer. Hope that can keep that up.
Note: Shocker Sophomore to be RHP Preston Snavely is back in his home town playing for the Ft. Collins Bandits in the Mile High Collegiate Baseball League. Stats do not appear to be available as @Wuzee pointed out. The Ft. Collins roster appears to be mostly Juco players, a few D-II players and a few D-1 players (Arizona, TCU and Wichita State).Last edited by 1972Shocker; July 3, 2017, 08:17 PM.

Fixed the Katzfey link in the original. Thanks.“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'”

Could just be a bit of a cold spell or the Cape Cod teams have found a weakness to exploit. It will be interesting to see how Alex responds.

The CCL is a wood bat league.

Paul Suellentrop reports on Alec Bohm's season in the Cape. Also mentions Greyson Jenista (Cape Cod League) and Luke Ritter (California Collegiate League) who are having good summers in wood bat leagues.
