All it takes is twice as many runs in this inning as we've scored in the previous 17 innings.

More on WSU's 1, 2 & 3 hitters
Hey Aargh, the announcers were wrong. The 1st 3 hitters in the WSU lineup last night had 3 hits, so they were not 1 for 22 after the 1st 2 games. This is not to say I'm happy about the way the hitters have been hitting! Bohm did drive in the go ahead run in the 1st gamer in the 10th innining on a infield chopper over the pitchers head although he went 0-5 in that game.

However, Boatright has not handled the messaging around this situation correctly, based on the articles people have posted here.
I hope the worst case scenario is we have to suffer with HCTB for one more year, at most.

We might have to stick with Butler and let his contract expire. That would take the baseball program to entirely new depths, but with the facilities we've got, the rebuild shouldn't be insurmountable. It will probably be easier (for the next guy) to recruit players to play in games in Orlando, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, etc. than to have to play in Cedar Falls and Terra Haute. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

The athletic department is dealing with less revenue and significantly increased expenses.

Maybe I'm an optimist, but I'm hoping Boatright knows the AAC is going to be a big step up for baseball, and thinks bringing in a new coach to get pummeled may not be wise. Instead, let Butler take more lumps first year in, indicate the program needs to make changes to be competitive in better conference, and bring in new guy to show we are working to improve.
