    Who cares? Fire Todd Butler!

Shocks did just tie it up at 5-all in the bottom of the 8th on Travis Young's 2nd 2-run homer in 3 innings,. Those are Travis' only home runs of the season. The 8th home run followed a 2-out walk to Jordon Boyer.

Shocks have had trouble winning close games lately so let's see what happens.

That didn't take long. Sam Grellner of ORU hit his 2nd home run of the game to lead off the 9th against Ben Hecht and put ORU back up 6-5.

Interestingly, the 2 guys with 2 home runs on the evening are each team's 9-hole hitters.

Shockers can't stand the prosperity. ORU's 9-hole hitter does a Travis Young impression and hits his second homer of the night.

Infield single by Alec Bohm and a triple by Willie Schwanke ties the game with 1 out in the bottom of the 9th.

In pinch hitting roles Alex Jackson strikes out and Noah Croft's drive to left center is caught just short of the fence.

So one long fly ball and we go home happy?

Shockers with a Boyer double, Dugas single and Jenista walk off single. Shocks win 7-6 against ORU's ace closer.

Now that's the kind of competiveness we have been waiting all season for.

Fun win for the Shocks, it was good to see us battle and keep coming back.

Dayton Dugas seems to have figured some things out. That's 2 good games in a row for Dayton. HCTB said they had made some adjustments to his swing in the pregame show.

I've developed a lot of skepticism and cynicism about Shocker baseball, and that's affecting what I'm about to write.

Maybe he's trying to do a little better so he can get a better team for summer ball?

                            went to the game.

Crowd was smaller than previous years, but seemed better than most games.

Still too many strikeouts and strikeouts looking.

Who was it Jackson that came in bottom of the 9th and struck out on 4 pitches and didn't ever swing the bat???

2 games means he's figured some things out? After 2 years?

                              Interesting win tonight.
