Man the contributions are less in quantity than i would have expected by now. Although I must say the size of the contributions so far is damn nice. If this was for basketball I wonder how many would have contributed by now. It really is a shame that a top 5 team in the country doesnt get more love or support here at home in regards to these needs. Especially when all they do is win and produce over and over and over and over again year ofter year after year. Yeah I dragged that out to long for effect... I know.

Hey royal maybe we could get a bump on the sticky post about this on the basketball forum just to brings some eyes to the cause. I know lots of folks bookmark directly to the basketball forum and rarely see the front page or other forums. Just a thought... I was going to bump it then realized you had it locked down.

Plenty of time to make donations. Maybe ShockerNetters are just waiting to get their Economic Stimulus Tax Rebate Checks.

I'm sure the new AD will make this happen - right?

I have no inside information, however it wouldn't surprise me to see a major announcement soon. What a perfect time for one of the "heavy hitters" to step up to the plate with a financial endorsement for our new AD.

I'll chip in in the near future. I'm not one blessed with a lot of money but will take a look at my financial situation and see what's in the future to see how much I can, or am willing to part with.

Noticed only 8 have contributed for a total of 500+. I'm not sure what to think about that. Nice contributions from that few but would like to see more contribute as a whole. I know I don't follow Shocker Baseball like I do Basketball but it's important to the University and the city of Wichita.

A physician called into a radio show and said:

If there is one thing I learned from watching the t-shirt campaign, it's that the Shockernet world is full of procrastinators. I, myself, am procrastinating. I will make sure when it gets closer to the end of the campaign that my pocketbook opens up.

How much money did Shockernet raise for the Koch project?
Shockerman, the match is 10% of whatever Shockernet raises (up to a maximum of a $200 match).

As it stands now Shockernet has raised $761.78. That means the 5 (so far) matching contributors are committed to $76.18 each. So our total commitment at this point is $1,142.68 including the matching contributions to be made.

If we raise $1,500, the match will be $150 each for at total of $2,250.

If we raise $2,000 or more the match will be $200 each for a total of $3,000 plus the excess over $2,000.

Another way to look at it, is that each $1.00 contributed up to $2,000 actually generates a donation of $1.50. Similar to an employer matching contribution on a 401(k) plan.

Still plenty of time for others to join the fun as matching contributor.

The contributions made to date, while not numerous, have been good sized contributions to get us off on the right foot.

                            Any size contribution is appreciated.

I've officially chipped in sometime last week. I'm sure the rest of ShockerNation can get us to the $2000 dollar goal if not farther. It feels good to have finally gotten it out of the way.

I chiped in and it is very easy to make the donation. This is for a good project that will impact many Shockers for years. Give up a couple of beers each month and donate your savings. It might even help your abs.
