Yea .. Saal talked the talk at the beginning but now has done 2 very underwhelming hires. I don't think he's separated him self from the mindset that he's not at Murray State anymore. We can do better here.

Dude just finished 10th in the PAC in his 4th season. First season was covid then 8th, then 9th, then 10th.
What a hire!
He better have some dudes lined up otherwise this makes zero sense except he is Bros with Saal.

I can’t wait til he lists the reasons he made for this hire. Saal went from a B+ to a D- to me. He sure says all the right things but seems to be off on delivering.
This has Todd Butler 2.0 written all over it.

I don’t have a ton of thoughts about this hire yet. On the outset it doesn’t look great but we shall see.
Las Cruces has to be a tough place to recruit, and I imagine Pullman is the hardest sell by a long shot in the PAC-12.

Thing is Hooper isn’t in this equation. Hibbs and this team and what was to be justifiably expected next season is. They don’t balance out.
