Hays Larks was suppose to start play this week but had a player (from Texas) test positive for covid on Saturday. They are now testing all players, if there are any other positives they will cancel their season.

Here is a rebroadcast of the Hutch-Newton game from last night at Eck Stadium, where Liam Eddy started for the Monarchs and Aaron Haase pitched in relief. Aaron Bechtel started for the Rebels, taking the loss.

It appears that pitching should be a strength of the Shocker baseball team next year. We had a good start on it this year, and we return most of the staff and have several good pitching recruits to add to it.Comment

Also interested in seeing how LHP Gareth Stroh mixes in. He began the year as Nebraska's ace, beating Baylor on the road in the season opener and leaving both games he started with big leads.
