  • Shocks v. #8 ECU

ECU (37-11) comes in fresh off of a big win at #12 UNC as they push for a top 8 seed. Let's steal one!

Wichita State baseball wraps up its 2019 home slate with a three-game conference series vs. No. 8 ECU May 10-12 at Eck Stadium. Senior recognition for Shocker seniors Jordan Boyer, Clayton McGinness, Mason O'Brien and Luke Ritter will be before Saturday's contest.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

We'll be lucky if we don't get beat like a rented mule.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

A fitting way to bring the Todd Butler era to a close at home.

ECU cruises to a 6-1 win in game 1 of the series. Shocks score an unearned run in the bottom of the 9th to avoid the shut out.

BTW, with this win ECU clinches the AAC regular season championship.

Wow our once nationally dominant program has degenerated into sympathy posts from a New England baseball school.

UConn falls in the 1st game of today's DH with USF pulling out a 3-2 win. However, UCONN_Husky that doesn't mean the dreams of many Shocker fans regarding Clearwater are not still alive. It kind of depends on what those dreams are.

In any case, the fate of the Shockers regarding making the AAC tournament will most likely be in their own hands next week against USF.

Maybe we should just hope ECU run rules us to save wear and tear on our pitching staff.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Game 2 with ECU is scoreless after 4. Clayton McGinness has only allowed a 1 out single in the 4th that was erased in a double play so he has faced the minimum of 12 batters so far.

Ask and you shall receive. We may be sacrificing Wichita's conference tourney dreams and UCONN's regional dreams. SMH.

ECU scratches out a run in the top of the 6th but the Shockers match that with an unearned run in the bottom of the 7th. Tied 1-1 through 7.

Clayton McGinness with perhaps the best outing of his career so far. He is only at 77 pitches through 7 innings.
