Good thing about Game 1 today is we get to listen to Shocker baseball during work.

So much for that good thing......I'll still be working at 3 so not all is lost.

    Friday Schedule Altered for Shockers

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Due to rain, Wichita State's baseball game against Stephen F. Austin in the UT Arlington Classic has been moved back to a 3 p.m. first pitch on Friday, Feb. 22, at Clay Gould Ballpark. The game was originally slated to start at noon.

The Shockers are still scheduled to play two games Saturday, Feb. 23, against UT Arlington (noon) and Stephen F. Austin (approx. 3:30 p.m.), before wrapping up the classic with a single contest Sunday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. against UT Arlington.

Doc’s schtick is a bit played out. Screams “look at me” sometimes and is very attention seeking. Trust me when I say there are many people on here in the know that don’t feel the need to act that way for self serving purposes. Very Kardashian-esque.

Clayton still working on a wipeout pitch as Shane likes to call it, but works around a walk in the top of the 1st. Shocks up in the bottom of the 1st.

Ritter walks (he's been really good at the plate so far) after AJ struckout. Katzfey grounds into a fielder's choice and there are 2 out. Cadena batting cleanup today hasn't had a great start at the plate but is a gamer and should turn it on soon.

Preston Snavely gets the game 2 start. Liam Eddy gets the game 3 start.

Clayton having some of the same issues as last week. Gets ahead (almost everyone) but struggles to put them away.

2 singles have runners at the corners with 2 outs. Falls behind 2-0, works back to 2-2 then gets a flyout to end the inning. Bottom 2 no score.

Needed to do better there no doubt.

Clayton gets out of another jam with a 6-4-3 DP. Bottom 3 still 1-0 Shocks.

6-4-3 DP to end threat in top of third. Shox coming up.

Sounds like McGinness has been pitching on the edge so far but it's all goose eggs so far.

Thanks, I needed this thread today.

People calling out other people on a message board. Talking about “Schtick”. Claiming a “look at me” personality!!

                  This is just too funny.

Sigrist has battled at the plate well so far although that wasn't his best swing. Going to the 5th 2-0 Shocks. Clayton's at 61 pitches. Probably capped at 100. Let's see how the 5th goes.

Clayton has set down 8 in a row and seems to be in a groove. Shocks have something going in the bottom of the 5th after AJ walked and Ritter singles (2-2 with a walk).

1st and 2nd and nobody out. Katzfey fails to get the bunt down, 0-1. Fails again, 0-2. Grrrrr.

Katzfey strikes out, Cadena flies out as does Gibby. On to the 6th, still 2-0 Shocks.

I think the Shocks still have not laid down a sac bunt this year. That's something they need to improve on if speed really is going to be something they relay on this year.

Damn it...Clayton loses the leadoff batter after being ahead 1-2. Gets 2 outs from there and 3-2 to Sean Moore before he lines out to 3rd. Clayton has battled and is at 98 through 6. Hope we see someone else to finish the game. Great work Clayton!

Now let's get some distance guys.
