Does anyone know if we are playing with a run rule tonight?

Preston finished with 5 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 3 BB, 2 HBP and 5 K. Really nice effort from him tonight when we absolutely had to have him eat some innings, good job Preston.

Freshman Jacob Lindemann makes his Shocker debut and has dealt 2 scoreless so far. Just a really good night so far.

8-1 to the bottom of the 7th.

Lindemann looks goooooooooood. Nice arm. Low 90s fastball. Good change. Pretty much dealing.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Another scoreless inning for Lindemann in the 8th, still 8-1 WSU. What a terrific job by him and Preston keeping the rest of the staff available for tomorrow.

Paxton Wallace on to pitch the 9th. We are evidently very serious about saving the pen for tomorrow.

Shocks win 8-2. Excellent job tonight.

Paxton throws HARD. Hit 94 a few times.

Could not have asked for anything more from Snaveley, Lindemann and Wallace. Where have they been hiding Lindemann? The redshirt is off now so I assume we will be seeing quite a bit of Jacob over the remainder of the season.

Man...Lindemann. I'm not saying that was Glavin and Maddux out there but still. The job Steele has done with this staff is remarkable. Anyone hear anything on Tommy?

WuDrWu, All I heard was Kennedy in the pregame mention that they thought his injury wasn't serious but that he wasn't available this week. Which I would guess means no structural damage, need to wait for him to throw a pen to see if he has any pain?

Best possible outcome at this point, fingers crossed he continues to heal up and can bounce back.

Sully reports on Jacob Lindemann and also inlcudes updates on Tommy and Connor. Lindemann is coming off TJ surgery and did not ptich much this past fall. Thus the initial plan to redshirt hime

As a junior in high school, Lindemann went 10-1 with a 0.81 ERA and helped Burlington win a state title. That summer, he felt the well-known tightness in his arm, ultimately leading to surgery. He played first base as a senior. Tuesday marked his return to pitching. The first sight of opposing batters in a real game didn't seem to bother him.
As far as Tommy and Connor are concerned:

Butler said Sunday starter Tommy Barnhouse won't pitch at Houston due to an unspecified arm injury, but is expected to return soon. Connor Lungwitz, who hasn't pitched since April 7, is close to a return.

"Busy week," Butler said. "We think (Barnhouse) will be back, hopefully quickly. Lungwitz has been down. Hopefully, he'll be back this weekend. So, you have to have some guys step up."
As far as Paxton Wallace is concerned I doubt that the UCA hitters were exactly digging in against him. MIght want to give him an inning against ECU next year.
Tuesday was a step-up kind of night for Shocker pitching. Mid-week games can be an adventure where pitching plans can unravel quickly. Snavely matched his career-high with five innings and didn't allow an earned run. Lindemann relieved him before freshman Paxton Wallace, also making his debut on the mound, finished with an inning.

It was nice to be out at the park again. Not a bad crowd either.
