There is one specifice thing I would like to see happen this year.
When USF comes to town in May I presume their highly touted R-So. LHP and potential #1 draft choice Shane McClanahan and his high-90's (occassionally 100 mph) fast ball will be starting on Friday, May 11th.
I would like a nice warm evening with a nice Kansas spring summer breeze blowing out of the South or Southwest.
Regardless of how Alec Bohm is going at that time McClanahan is very unlikely to pitch around Alec. Whether he would challenge him with fastballs or not remains to be seen.
I would love to see Alec time up and square up one of those 98 mph fastballs with a perfect launch angle and see how far a baseball can travel on 21st Street midway between Hillside and Oliver.
If you like attending the games that draw MLB scouts that one might be a good choice.
