I don't know why more people don't realize this. If Nick played for a Midmajor KY school, Andrew would have been a Wildcat.

4 point against Stanford. He is the next Lebron.

The reason it's tough to figure out is because the KU fan base and school officials are so obsessed with the KU brand that they are in denial. A good example of what I'm talking about is, the ku fans that I know are getting tired of recruiting 1 and dones, but their is no major push at ku to make that happen.
As a result of this lack luster recruiting spree that Self is on that's agitating their fans, they've been getting embarrassed on national tv more and more.. They still won't put any serious pressure on Self though to change the recruiting strategy cuse he is a basketball messiah in their minds.
I figured the pressure would ramp up after they lost to wsu cuse now it looks like ku is passing the torch to us, but from everything I've heard, the last person any ku fan will blame for recruiting woes is Bill Self. Which is strange and amazing. He probably could recruit better if he was feeling some heat.

I think Self is a good coach and a good recruiter. Evidence is present wherever he's been, even before the advantage of a KU name. Brooks at OKC was not a great coach. Coaching in the NBA is MUCH more difficult and much different than NCAA coaching, ignoring the recruiting aspect. (Larry Brown said he coached more in the first 5 min of an NBA game than a whole college season) Adjustments, match ups, switches, etc. all have to be made much quicker in the pros. I think Self can do it. I also thinks he wants to try; but, does he want to "give up" his precious KU spot? Does anybody have an inside track on a KU fan board to report how they see things? I got the impression Self's shine was tarnished in the fan's eyes after losing to us.

I would hate for Self to go to OKC, only because I like the Thunder, and they deserve better than Self. I'm also of the opinion he really isn't that good of a coach. He's decent yes, but Marshall is better, way better. Besides that, has there been any talk of him going to the NBA? All the talk I've heard is that Billy Donovan is the front runner for the OKC job.
