If Creighton's been paying for players, they haven't been getting their money's worth.

Thanks Shocker Mama for posting that link. I wasn't savvy enough to do it from the device I was using.
Creighton needs to pony up more than they have if recent results mean much.
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

Sounds like Creighton might be in some trouble.

CU has done a fine job of covering it up. All those loses in the NCAA tourney, took some real detective work to get to the bottom of the CU scandal.

The Creighton thing doesn't look like much. An asst. coach took a $6K payment from Dawkins (a sports agent) to "keep me in mind when you have any NBA prospects". That's an NCAA violation. Nobody on the coaching staff can accept payments from a third party.

It's not related to recruiting, it wouldn't really affect any current players, other than the assistant coach may have told them what a great guy Dawkins was. That's not allowed, but it certainly isn't anything that could affect on-court results.

I don't see anything happening at Creighton other than maybe a year or two of probation with the stipulation that no coaches accept any third-party money. The biggest damage to Creighton's program will be that they got mentioned in this mess, but their mention will fade quickly when the real players start making more headlines.

They will have to fire the assistant.

Goatlube? I didn't see anything mentioning Doug Gottlieb.

Creighton in the news? Doesn't happen very often anymore. Lol.. Even if they did very little wrong it's still a shock seeing them making any kind of news these days.

More fun times up in Larryville. KU has turned in another program to the NCAA for an investigation. This time it's the KU football program.

KU told Beaty he was being fired without cause and would receive his $3 mill buyout. Then they asked him if he would take deferred payments. He refused. Then KU's athletic department told the NCAA they suspected something was wrong in their football program and would the NCAA please investigate, and now KU is refusing to pay Beaty's buyout until the investigation is complete. They're also telling prospective employers of Beaty that he's under a current NCAA investigation.

Self would reportedly get paid more, but his players would be making less

If so, it could be a case of The Rug getting out before the FBI investigation and Adidas scandal fully hit Lawrence.

Self probably knows what's going to be uncovered in an investigation and might not want to be the coach in that situation. Or maybe he figured out that now he would actually have to go out and recruit instead of just telling someone who they should pay.

I can't remember the last time a coach stuck around after a team had to vacate a final 4 appearance.. Being that KU will probably have to vacate most of last year Self's probably shitting his pants. It would also be funny because if KU does have to vacate last years final 4 because then WSU would still technically be the last Kansas team to reach the final 4

I had a KU fan tell me that he expected Self to go to the NBA. This was 2 weeks ago. I think alot of them feel that way. Where there's smoke...

A physician called into a radio show and said:
