I knew the non-football BE schools couldn't be to happy. I said sooner or later. But I didn't think it would be this soon.

The A-10 might try to grab the Big East 7.
The Atlantic 10 has discussed the possibility of a 21-team basketball league in the event that the changing conference landscape makes high-profile Big East schools available, a source with direct knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com Tuesday.
We are going to have to be very proactive and have some luck.In the fast lane

Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

How is UNC to blame for Maryland leaving? Maryland wanted a stronger upper northeast presence and will help to carry that mantle by themselves along with Penn State and Rutgers. UNC has spent more money on football over the last 25 years, so they are unlike Duke in that regard.

Gonzaga interested in a national, non-football conference. If they were involved it would help our chances of getting in as geography (distance) no longer is a negative.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

This needs to be looked into. My hope is that we can form a new conference with schools that put basketball above all other sports. And part of the selection process would be basketball athletic budget, average 80% of arena seats sold. Mandate a certain strength of schedule. Rotate conference tourney to different neutral sites.Marge: The plant called and said that if you don't come in tomorrow, don't bother coming in Monday.
Homer: WOOHOO! Four day weekend.
