  • Obama a "slow learner"?

President Barack H(ypocrite) Obama is at it again. While selling his snake oil on budget cuts and responsible spending he hammered Las Vegas again and the response was harsh:

“He has a real psychological hang up about the entertainment capitol of the world. An apology won’t be acceptable this time, I don’t know where his vendetta comes from but we’re not going to let him make his bones by lambasting Las Vegas, that’s why (the press) is here today.
“He didn’t learn his lesson the first time, but when he hurt our economy by his ill conceived rhetoric, we didn’t think it would happen again, but now that it has I want to assure you, when he comes I’ll do everything I can to give him the boot back to Washington and to visit his failures back there.
“I gotta tell you this, everybody says I shouldn’t say it, but I gotta tell you the way it is. This president is a real slow learner.”

Do you disagree with what President Obama said or is this just your normal "anything to bash" Obama posting?

As a Wichita resident, do you condone and agree with Obama's comments in reference to corporate aircraft? It's the same exact ideological MO as his take on LV, and that community's resulting backlash. The situations are extremely comparable.

Based on the first 4 letters of your SN username, I'm going to guess you're not a big fan of the class-warfare trashing of corporate transportation. Now change gears and put yourself in the shoes of someone who makes their living based off of the LV convention and tourism industry. It's a nearly direct correlation.

I'm a big fan of bashing Obama when he proves himself a hypocrite.

Fortunately for me, he gives me an un-ending, overflowing bucket of material. I could find 20 things a day to post, but I choose to only bring up the best of the best (worst of the worst).

I do not think that people should be spending college savings for their kids in Las Vegas.

I doubt that companies that are in good shape will buy or not buy jets because of anything President Obama says and I do not think that companies should be buying aircraft unless it makes fiscal sense for them to do so. I have not heard anyone Rep or Dem bashing companies that buy corporate aircraft, just those that are coming to the government (the people) asking for handouts.

The aircraft industry in Wichita has always went in cycles. This may be a particularly bad cycle but had President Bush and then President Obama not had the federal government take the actions they did I am sure the cycle would have been even worse.

I also do not think that welfare recipients and low income wage earners (I include the latter because those individuals pay basically no taxes) should be wasting our money on cigarettes, alcohol and other non necessary items. I do not believe that people that cannot make their mortgages should be buying new cars and boats and fancy big screen TV's.

As to the people in Las Vegas I do not see how anyone can argue that people should go enjoy the city using their mortgage payments.

What I found LOL funny was this string of words that came from Obama's mouth:

When times are tough, you — you tighten your belts. You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you’re trying to save for college.
Does he realize how his own words contradict his actions and agenda? When will he realize that people are no longer entranced by his magical personality and the soothing tones of his voice?

Words matter fool. Shame on us the first time, from now on though shame on YOU.

What I find funny is your constant posting about Obama when all politicians, especially Republicans claim to be more fiscally responsible yet the result is always bigger government and more spending, even when they have control. Talk about hypocritical. I usually do not post o the politics forum because I find nearly all politicians to be hypocrites.

Many of us have criticized the Republicans for that as well. As bad as it was, it's been worse since. Both cases are quite sad and pathetic. We get what we deserve more or less and we keep voting these fools, both sides, into office and expect things to change. So far, the only change has been things get worse.

Exactly. I've never held back from criticizing Republicans. A hypocrite is a hypocrite no matter what color their underwear.

Throw them all out if that's what it takes.

The ultimate hypocrisy is that Obama was "The One" who was going to swoop down from above and be our Savior from all of this. Instead, he's been a Jackal in sheep's clothing. And he's an arrogant Jackal at that.

                  It simply has to stop.
