So three men are meeting in secret to shape the course of health care in our country: Harry Reid, a Committee Chairman and (likely) Rahm/Ezekiel Emmanuel.
Harry Reid is writing in an option in the Health-care reform bill allowing a state to "opt out". Although no Congressional Committee had the option in its bill, it's in there now.
Now the brainy part: A state can opt out of government-run health care. But you know what? A state's residents cannot opt out of paying for the federal plan.
Seriously, Harry Reid or the White House thought of that?
How many taxpayers would opt out of a government program but would still be willing to pay for it all?
Will history equate these three with Ben Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson?
