    kc,

"Loosely associated"...........whatever makes you sleep well.

Let me ask you a question. If your 15 (or 16.....I haven't seen any documentation but I haven't looked for it either. If he was 16, is there any chance this took place when the boy was 15? Hmmm) year old daughter was having a sexual relationship with a 40+ year old man, how would you feel? What would your reaction be to the teacher who found out and told her "you're using a condom, right?"?

Would you think there was some coersion involved perhaps? Would you be happy with his reaction?

His reaction wasn't "a poor decision". It was morally reprehensible. I don't care if it happened 20 years ago. Perhaps it would be an extreme reaction to say that because of it he cannot vote, but it is not extreme to say that this dirtbag SHOULD NOT BE SAFE SCHOOL CZAR.

You can continue to spin this anyway you want, but you and I (and anyone else with a functional brain) know damn good and well that when this took place, that Jennings was thrilled to find out about the relationship, did nothing to discourage it (and probably encouraged it further), and believed that it furthered his cause and belief.

In the most simple terms I can find, the fact that he was NOT OUTRAGED and SICKENED by a 15-16 year old (regardless of orientation) having a sexual relationship (where there was obvious issues or he wouldn't have come to the teacher in the first place, right???) with an ADULT should be enough to tell any rational person that Jennings is a bad guy.

    Comprende?

You can defend a lot of lefty issues, and one or two may even have merit, but when you come to the defense of a guy like this, you lose all credibility with anyone capable of reasoning.

Sorry Doc dont agree. If the act was legal under state law(from what I have read it was), not sure he would have the right to inform. Plus, in that time period gay stigma was far worse than than the situation you describe. As a parent I wouldnt like it! That being said, a 16 yr kid has rights too. A 16 yr old gay kid outted by a teacher to friends and family could have just as much or more negitive psychological effect on him as the sex act.

How many young boys have lost their virginity to older women? I dont know about you but most of the guys I went to school with would have been bragging about scoring with a older woman

If it were legal, by further embarrassing the kid what would you accomplish? You can't procesute the adult! I wasnt party to the conversation and neither were you! Do I think the situation was inappropriate yes, how would I have handled it, I dont know. Im not gay, and dont pretend to know the complex issues a gay person much less a young adult faces today, much less 20 yrs ago.

How do you know he was thrilled etc.? How do you know he wasnt outraged? You werent there? You make alot of assumptions!

Dont mean to get on your case Doc but thats the way I view it. Now if it comes about that it was underage and illegal, just like Roman Polanski, go after the perp and Jenning should resign. 8)

ps It seems you are getting better at controlling your temper.

Can you imagine the phone call that Obama made to Van Jones and now might have to duplicate with Jennings?

"Sorry, dude, you're gonna have to go. Yeah, I told you I'd hook you up after the election. I really didn't count on the American public paying attention. I guess they're not as stupid as I thought. Don't worry, I'll work you in somwhere in the Stimulus money, the Health Care Reform money, Cap and Trade...something. Are we still cool? Sweet. Now if you'll just go away quietly I'd really appreciate it. Say hi to Rev. Wright, I think he's still pissed at the way I had to kick him to the curb like I'm doing to you now. Tell him I still listen to his old sermons on Sunday mornings with the family in the Oval Office. Rahm and Zeke even join us when they can. Anyway, take care of the wife and kids...oops, sorry Kev...I, uh, gotta run. The dog just took a dump on the Constitution again."

Well, since he has decided to accept the award I suppose I am with Peggy Noonan…the President could do worse:

          A Wicked and Ignorant Award

Will President Obama go with his General or with the European Elite?

I know which way I think he will go, I just hope for the Afgan peoples sake and the American troops sake, that I'm wrong. Which ever way he goes, it will define him as a President/Person.

                  About time... :yahoo: :yahoo:

When does he get the Nobel Economics award? Oh, wait. What does it mean when he didn't win that one despite saving our economy by plunging trillions of dollars into bankrupt companies?

Our economy would be in shambles if it weren't for that money.

And just think, without that money (even though it hasn't been spent) reported unemployment would be 9.8% and real unemployment would be about 17%.

Thank you Triune God for giving us "The One" as ordained by Oprah.

                    The org chart now reads

                    Father
                    Obama
                    Oprah

(Still waiting on clarification from Barack Hussein on what the correct order is...will have Moses Gibbs give a statement when the tablets are handed down from above)

The full re-write could done within an hour. Really, all that needs to be done is to load it all up in a word-processing package and do a search/replace on 'Jesus' with 'Barack Hussein'.

Obviously you wouldn't have to change the quoted part of verses like John 14:6 -- Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life."

The full passage would now simply read:
Barack Hussein answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life."

Nobel Peace Prize jury defends Obama decision

OSLO, Norway - Members of the Norwegian committee that gave Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize are strongly defending their choice against a storm of criticism that the award was premature and a potential liability for the U.S. president.

Asked to comment on the uproar following Friday's announcement, four members of the five-seat panel told The Associated Press that they had expected the decision to generate both surprise and criticism.
Jagland singled out Obama's efforts to heal the divide between the West and the Muslim world and scale down a Bush-era proposal for an anti-missile shield in Europe.

"All these things have contributed to — I wouldn't say a safer world — but a world with less tension," Jagland said by phone from the French city of Strasbourg, where he was attending meetings in his other role as secretary-general of the Council of Europe.
Euopeans like Obama more than then they did Bush. From Transatlantic Trends Survey:

And that should come as a surprise?

President Obama has apologized to them and put (what he percieves as) their interests ahead of those of his own country.

If I were a dolt from Germany, I'd probably love him as well.
