Looks to me like your source is part of the liberal machine:

Maybe I should start an organization like ACORN so I could defraud taxpayers and get hundreds of millions in exchange. Then I could give up all my "work" and have several hobbies.
      Thanks for the advice.
ACORN has only received over $53 million over 15 years. You would be better off being a defense contractor. They've received billions from the U.S. government, defrauded the government, and still the government keeps giving them money.

Of course, if the government stopped giving out billions to defense contractors, then who would fund the war machine?

Looks like Mitch has joined the "circle jerk".

"The question we have to ask is, 'Who has done the most in the previous year to enhance peace in the world?' And who has done more than Barack Obama?

Hmm. I'd say a lot of people.

Or that was a helluva 12 days."
"If you're going to do it, you're going to do it right," athletic director Jim Schaus said. "If we're going to put 'Wichita State' across our chest, then every team is going to matter."

The conservative smear machine, still attempting to damage progressives by drawing shady guilt-by-association connections, is trying to link Kevin Jennings, the head of the Department of Education's Office of Safe & Drug Free Schools, to the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). It's no surprise that upon examining the facts, no such connection exists.
Wow you'll believe anything wont you? 8)

Please dont quote me any number of 6000 nut job blogs. As far as Obama being God hes not trying to rewrite the Bible! Get a life!

So what's your point? That the Safe School Czar isn't a card carrying member of NAMBLA (as far as we know....vetting not completed yet)?

The truth hurts I know. Kevin Jennings is about a poor a choice for a Safe School Czar as I would be for "Thin Czar" (even though I recently was awarded a Nobel Prize for just that).

Your guy put him in charge, for reasons we can only speculate BECAUSE they won't tell us and don't have to. The guy in charge of "Safe Schools" is SELF ADMITTEDLY a drug user, a staunch PROMOTER of teaching homosexuality to children, (again in his own words) INSPIRED by one of the most disgusting examples of human kind (thankfully now taking a permanent dirt nap) in Harry Hay (and I don't care why) and happy to see a high school boy (seemingly for whom he was charged with some level of responsibility for)involved with a 40+ year old man.

It's another example of a poor choice by a leader that seems to be placating to the fringe left to which he owes everything. Be a man, and a leader, and fire this waste of space, at a minimum and a certifiable criminal at worst.

I can only assume you and others like you (defenders of people being "smeared", lol) defended Marge Schott with an equal amount of zeal?

          I thought not.

Obama winning the Nobel Peace prize makes as much sense as declaring the Chiefs "Superbowl Champions" during the second week of the season.

As he was nominated for the Nobel prize two weeks after he enterred office, have politics and the Nobel become new fantasy sports?

Socialists, Communists, Marxists all over the world realize they must support each other at any opportunity because the philosophies they demand be foisted upon everyone are really very countrary to human nature.

Why else do they embrace government-controlled media, attempt to squash free speech(once they are in power) and seek to dictate everyone's lives while exempting themselves from the opression they adore?

Has everyone read Orwell's 'Animal Farm'?

According to the world view of those on the Nobel commitee, Obama was the perfect choice.
The Nobel committee chose him wisely because he does, in fact, represent the organization’s highest ideals. He is an American president queasy about the projection of American power. He is an American president who rejects the notion of American exceptionalism. He is an American president eagerly in pursuit of legitimacy to be granted him not by those who voted for him but by those who do not cast a vote and who chafe at American leadership. It is his devout wish that America become one of many nations, influencing the world indirectly or not influencing it at all, rather than 'the indispensable nation,' as Madeleine Albright characterized it. He is the encapsulation, the representative, the wish fulfillment, the very embodiment, of the multilateralist impulse. He is, almost literally, a dream come true for the sorts of people who treasure and value the Nobel Peace Prize."

If Obama qualified for the Nobel, I should be a shoe-in to be cannonized into Sainthood by the Pope!

The point I was making is that since Obama does not believe in American exceptionalism, and he believes that capitalism is the problem and not the solution, HE fits the mold for what the Nobel commitee is looking for.

Not you Doc, the Nambla connection by isaso. The other things you allude to some are loosely connected at best, ie Harry Hay, his praise was for the work he had done with Gay rights. What I understand Jennings was not familiar with Hays private(though I agree sick sex) life. The other situation with the kid he admits to . It was over 20 yrs ago. The kid says he was 16(though Jennings thought he was 15), this was verified by the kids birthdate on his drivers license(legal age in that state 16). Rem attitudes were different about homosexuality back then. A gay kid confided in a gay teacher, the act had already occurred. Jennings says he made a mistake. Remember though he was probably weighting the situation of a gay kid whose family probably didnt know. I think you might agree that it probabaly was a very complicated situation.
The fact the situation occurred at all is sad. Viewing the discrimation and humiliation the kid would have been subject to if made public, makes it at best complicated. The kid today says Jennings made the right decision in his opinion.

Jenning has had a career of distinguished service as and educator. To make a federal case over so called questionable asscociations are not fair to the person and recks of a era in the 1950's which shamed all of America. 8)
