Yes and I have had enough of that guy.

As long as I am talking about things I have had enough of........

1)I am tired of these Washington talking heads telling me I (and others thinking alike) that we are wrong. We are not wrong, at WORST we differ in how we think things should be done...but we are not WRONG.

2)Is anyone else tired of hearing "If we don't get this done now, we never will....." ?

What the hell does that mean? "Hi, I'm Harry Reid. If we don't shove this legislation down the throats of Americans right now we'll never get the chance again because Americans will throw us out on our collective asses when they realize what we are up to....".

Is their message so weak, so bad that they are convinced that they'll never be voted into power like they are now? Perhaps this is the only time they are really truthful........

You should stop TRYING to emulate others and bring something, anything, substantive to the table occasionally.

For a non-election cycle, and considering the lack of organization, the number of people seen, without taking any count into consideration, is truly astonishing and gives hope for the future.
Nah, I'm just not interested in a movement that is little more than a bunch of whiny crybabies with nothing better to do with their time. What significant accomplishments has this movement produced or will it produce?

What significant accomplishment has the Obama administration produced, aside from making the American silent MAJORITY realize this truly is a right-center country that detests Marxism? Yep, that's about all they've done.

For that gut-check, future generations owe presidents like Obama and Jimmy Carter a debt of gratitude. Thanks for reminding us that we cherish our liberty.

I recommend the new book by pollster Frank Luntz - "What America Really Wants - Really".

There you go with that weak trash talking again. Man, we need to do something in this society about trash talking. It has gotten way out of hand.
It sounds like you are espousing that people who trash talk the administration should be visited by some agents from the Ministry of Truth to receive a little "counseling".

Or maybe you would prefer to see the White House given complete power over who is allowed to assemble in DC. Is that your idea of "doing something about trash talking"?

I'm truly curious to hear more about your solution to this problem we have in the area of free speech.

Nah, that's what Dumbya and his merry band of screw ups wanted. They wanted complete power to do whatever they felt like and spy on whoever and keep people from assimilating, unless they were in favor of his plots and schemes, then it was just fine.

Well back on topic. I found this protest interesting, very surprising and potentially significant for a number of reasons.

First, those on the right side/center right side of the political spectrum don't really have much of a tradition of protests, so the fact the turn out was so high is remarkable in and of itself. As I recall one protester correctly noted: “AstroTurf” doesn’t grow.

Second, and this is an admittedly unscientific impression, but it appeared to me that most of the people interviewed by media (at various outlets) traveled quite a long way to be in Washington - some were from as far away as California, Alaska and most were not from neighboring states. The effort involved in getting there speaks to the intensity of the opposition. Furthermore, thousands more went to local tea parties held the same day closer to their homes.

Finally, the general character of the protesters seemed to be very different than the “typical” protest. I think a reasonable/objective observer could only conclude that the vast majority of the protestors appeared to be “ordinary” citizens as opposed to anarchists and liberal interest groups. This could be significant if the effort is sustained – the mid-term election is a long ways away. Politicians would be well advised to be more concerned about small-business owners, professionals, stay at home mothers and seniors taking to the streets as opposed to a gathering of troubled kids wearing retro-sixties outfits and black bandanas.

The not so implicit attempts to marginalize and isolate these people by asserting that their true motivations lie in questioning the legitimacy of the President (they are all wacky birthers) and/or they have an issue with a “black” President (the are all racists – the ultimate trump card and act of desperation– along with fascist, of course), on the part of some that I saw in the media this weekend has the potential for serious blowback.

SC, if you're going to enter the debate here, then debate the issues. We all are still waiting on you to speak of facts or idealisms. No one can take you seriously until you do!

ABC fights back against Tea Party protest size falsehoods

ABC News has released a news report saying it was "misquoted" on the size of the Tea Party protest that took place Saturday in Washington, DC.

The network says that, at some point during the protest, FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe -- the head of the organization that organized the demonstration -- stood before the crowd and announced that ABC News had said the crowd at the protest was between one million and 1.5 million people.

ABC said no such thing. As Josh Marshall reported at TalkingPointsMemo, the fire department estimated the crowd at 60,000 to 70,000 people -- a "respectable" size, but nowhere near the order of magnitude that ABC says Kibbe claimed.
...From Kibbe's mic it went to right-wing activist Tabitha Hale's Twitter account -- where, somehow, the number grew again, this time to 2 million...to conservative writer Michelle Malkin's blog. Once it appeared there, there was no stopping it,...

Thanks to ABC News for clearing this up.

The Left, of course, has seized on the error to discredit the undeniably massive turnout.

If only they were as vigilant about policing other figures — e.g., the “47 million uninsured” statistic…

Give me a break the people at the Rally were nutjobs. Watch the entire video please. It is quite funny. Yes, I know it is a progressive/liberal radio show.

This country is going down a dangerous road towards secession. It needs to be stopped. Glenn Beck needs to stop fear mongering people. He is to blame for all of these rally's but, of course, he is doing a service to the American public. His entire reason for promoting 9.12. was to help promote the united feeling the day after 9/11. Well, he hasn't succeeded at all, he is dividing this country. It is sad to see my country go down this road. One sign at the rally said "Oust the Marxist, Honduras did it". For those of you who might not understand that sign it is advocating a military coup. This country is not going to change in 4 years. I said at the beginning of the election that health care will never be passed , Roe V. Wade will never be changed, and Social Security will never be reformed. I still believe that. I doubt Obama will run again in 2012.

Sorry for the rambling post but I think what I say is for the most part straight forward.

Claiming that people who are fed up with the great expansion of government that the left, at the hands of Obama and the Dem congress, is trying to perpetrate are nutjobs is anything but straightforward.

On another not, Jimmy Carter says an "overwhelming majority" of the "demonostrated animosity" toward Obama is primarily due to the fact he is a black man.

He goes on to say that it is the old racism of the south rising back to the surface.

Carter is the nutjob, not the Tea Party demonstrators.

I am calling the people in the video nutjobs not the majority of the people at the rally.

I don't think I should have used the word nutjob anyways, I don't think that anyone should.

Lastly, America has lost touch with what "conservatism" is. Instead of being anti-everything which seems to be what the republican party is now-a-days they need to be productive. I don't want more government beaurocracy's bogging down the system. I don't want 1000 page bills that no one will ever read.

With all the new czar's and positions made there will never be such things as "transparent government".

Honduras wasn't a military coup. It was a constitutionally protected action taken by thier gov't and power was given to the rightful people. The military was never in control of the country and never cared to be.

At least Glenn Beck is one of the few that calls out both the R's and D's for being the worthless pieces of crap that they are... Generally speaking. Our current leadership isn't doing a damn thing to try and unify anyone. They're the ones pulling this countries people farther and farther apart. Not a talk show host.

wsushox1, I guess I'm having trouble understanding. First it's "the people at the Rally are nutjobs" but what you really meant was "people in the video".

Then you criticize Republicans for "anti-everything" (but not enough were anti-bailout, anti-Patriot Act, anti-big government under Bush) while saying you don't want more government, which to me means you are "anti", as well.

I know I'm probably coming off harsh but you are confusing your point with seemingly contradictory verbage. Just what is your gripe?

If you don't want more government beauracracies then you have to be "anti" at this time to stop the Dems from furthering the Obama agenda. Once the power shifts, then you can hold conservatives/Republicans (not the same thing) accountable for not being pro-active in reducing government. Introducing that type of legislation right now will go nowhere. They need to focus their efforts on obstructionism.

In this session of Congress, gridlock is our friend.
