  • Disgraced Republican California Lawmaker Steps Down

    Here's another one for you.

    Mike Duvall....

A pro-family values California lawmaker who resigned after being caught on tape boasting about his sexual conquests denied Thursday that he had extramarital affairs, saying that "my offense was engaging in inappropriate storytelling."
Is it always the "pro-family values" lawmakers that get caught?

I don't know? Was John Edwards pro-family? Was Bill Clinton pro-family? Was Gary Hart pro-family? Is Rangel pro-family (oh wait - that is another form of cheating).

Frankly I don't think sin has party boundarys and since republicans and democrats are pretty much the same except for a label I don't think you will find either more ethical than the other.

The issue isn't party, or being "pro-family". The issue is integrity, and much of Washington (and state capitols) lacks it.

Power breeds corruption and it takes a well-grounded person to withstand the temptations that come with it. That same power, as SB states, makes most of those pols pretty much the same.

The difference is that liberals seem to celebrate this kind of activity and conservatives don't.

Not sure what you mean by celebrate...? Maybe you mean the conversation between the 2 Republicans quoted in the article...is that what you mean? Or the fact that it gets brought up over and over again, like it does by Republicans on this forum...?

I wasn't bashing Republicans, just 2 faced people in general...but you fools sure are quick to get defensive.

Let us know when you bash a Democrat, just so we know you aren't 2 faced.
