There is a large enough group of Republicans that are not going to vote for Jim Jordan or anyone else from the Freedom Caucus. Not so much because they Jordan is not acceptable to them but simply because they refuse to hand Matt Gaetz a win.

I think your right on this. Gaetz screwed up by starting this with such a small group of Republicans on his side. The 8 republican votes to challenge McCarthy in a full house vote definitely struck a nerve with the overwhelming majority of the Republicans who supported McCarthy. I generally like Gaetz, but it was a dumb ass move, especially without a confirmed replacement established prior.

I made one revision to Speaker Johnson's list. One that is far too often overlooked. Everybody likes the Individual Freedom but far too many ignore Individual Responsibility part.
