Trump has a powerful hold over you. His base supporters (30% of everyone which are 70% of Republicans) say anything he wants them to. If Biden is still running for Dems, he's got a 50/50 chance at best. The bad thing is that if we lose, we probably end up being Mexico? :)

The reason I doubt Trump's electability is that I think the number of Republicans who wont vote for Trump greatly outweighs Dems who won't vote for Biden. Dems will be more loyal to the party. And they will drag people to the polls and do what they have to to win.

I wish that wasn't the case. I don't understand any of it anymore. The country was in great shape under Trump's policies. Biden and the Dems want to take us to a very dark place.

Another way to look at the (vote problem) issue is that at the same time Trump discourages some GOP (who are at a numbers disadvantage to start with) that are very likely voters, he also energizes DEM voters who are usually NOT likely voters. Those are events difficult to overcome, especially when the DEMs also have a huge financial advantage, the media in their back pocket, a ground game that destroys whatever the GOP puts together and, of course, a willingness to lie, cheat and vote harvest at a level never seen before.

saying he can't win is a definitive statement. I wouldn't say Joe Biden can't win either. Nobody knows, but if media, Dems and people like you keep saying it, some small minded people will start to believe it.

Unfortunately, the Never Trump base is just a passionate and probably just as big and they are will to do anything and everything to make sure they win.

Personally, I hope Trump will not be the candidate but I think he probably will be. For one thing he is the one the Dems want to run AGAINST.

No, the Dems and deep state are scared to death to run against him. The republican never trumpers will vote for him over Biden or Newsome when it comes down to that. Everyone knows what happens if a Dem is voted in.

The whole targeting of trump has nothing to do with criminal acts and everything to do with removal from the ticket. Biden stated he would do everything possible to keep trump out of office.

Biden shuts his trap and never creates a problem for himself. Trump opens his mouth and pisses moderates off, while Dems just hate him. It’s not about his policies. It’s about his lack of discipline to appeal to moderates who are less interested in politics.

Trump’s lack of discipline is what kills him. While he’s smart about a lot of things, He thinks he’s smarter than he really is.

The republican never trumpers will vote for him over Biden or Newsome when it comes down to that.

There are other candidates on the ballot and the ability to write in. The latter of which I did in '20. I won't be voting for Trump in '24 either. The best case scenario would be to nominate someone who can win over swing voters.
