Some encouraging news (I think) for Conservatives is that often times in swing areas big turnout is usually bad news. Not so last night. For a GOV race, it was a big turnout. Also, up and down the various voting groups (women, minorities, Evangelicals etc etc) almost every group Youngkin made inroads vs 2020 and 2017. Combined, that means messaging and that victory can be had in other places as well. It was just "I hate Trump" or "Racists" or "Abortion" or any of the other stacks of divisive single issues. If you win a little bit from a lot of groups, you can win (assuming you can turn out your base but that's the same for everyone, always) in a lot of places that are swing districts or states or countries.
There's still a roadmap, and I was fearful that the roadmap might be gone forever.

Looks like a good dude. Stayed far away from Trump also. Encouraging.
Can a narrow pro-Covid vaccine, anti-mandate position help a Republican win in a Democratic state? Virginia's gubernatorial race offers a test case.
Youngkin pushed back, calling the characterization an “egregious untruth,” and pointing out that he and his family are all vaccinated. But he also admitted to a slight inconsistency — he believes that while Covid vaccines shouldn’t be mandatory, those for measles, mumps, and rubella can. Youngkin’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

They've got to fix this reporting problem, one way or the other. New Jersey is all over the board. The States have to correct this because right or wrong, it stinks of funny business if not out and out fraud. New Jersey was reporting 90% counted and Ciatterelli up a few hundred votes. Now it's 88% counted (actually went down) and Murphy has surged to the lead by 7K. The latest update was 10K to 2K for the Dems. The next time something like this happens for the GOP, it will be the first time. It's ALWAYS DEM votes or districts. Again, right or wrong, it stinks.
