  • Presidential Election: Get out and vote!

I've come to a personal decision regarding the upcoming presidential election. I'm gonna have to sit this one out. I was thinking about going in and only voting down-ballot, but then quickly realized that all the Republicans running are as Covidiotized as Trump, or worse. If anybody knows of a Conservativ'esque candidate that has publicly stated his/her support for modern medicine, scientists, Dr. Fauci, etc., please let me know and I'll give them a vote. Otherwise, my conscience and my rage will not allow me to pull the lever for any others.

If you are afraid of getting corona, then don’t go outside and leave you’re home. You don’t have to have the government tell you not to.

Apparently running at the mouth rather than listening is what makes 'em smarter? No doubt. Looks more like tourette's doesn't it? The only cure is a mask.

Your very liberal new girlfriend will be disappointed if you don't vote for Biden.

It would be great if more emotion based voters would stay on the sidelines.

When the going gets tough, the "tough" run and hide in the corner of their momma's basement.

Cold needs a socialist government to tell him every move to make. Despirately tries to get others to believe he's smarter than everyone else but we all know he's a total Liberal clown.

Mishandling the worst pandemic this world has seen in over 100 years (and it appears the worst is yet to come) is a helluva single issue.

I don't need the government to tell me anything, I know how to behave wisely in the midst of a pandemic. I need the government to corral the Covidiot sheep to save us from them and them from themselves.

It's the maskless deniers filling the bars and restaurants, and having house parties every night (spurred on by Trump), keeping the rest of us from returning to our normal lives. WE have to be the adults in the room by limiting our social activity for what may end up being 15 mos., when this all could have been handled in 3 with coherent and decisive leadership from the top.

Once again, if you don't engage and avoid the "covidiot sheep", then you're good to go.

Huh? Returning to our normal lives? I don't consider social distancing and wearing a mask to be normal. And once again, it's a virus. Lock everything down in 3 months and youll still get the same results. The virus started from 1 person. 3 months of lockdown wouldn't have stopped it. Slowed it, not stopped it. You can't eradicate a virus by hiding from it.

So all I have to do is live my life in exile for a year and a half because the selfish sheep have no sense of accountability or consideration for others? Spoken like a true liberal.

And I socially distance as much for my safety as my loved ones and others I may never meet. It's just the moral and strategic play for mankind.

March 1st: 6 weeks of intense lockdowns, followed by a centralized and robust testing and contract-tracing operation (manned by the military), along with a cogent and consistent message from our president, as well as punitive measures locally for non-compliance, and today we would be living fairly normal lives. We would have under 50k deaths, most cities would have tiny hotspots, and the lion's share of the contract tracing efforts would in the dense communities.

Yes, fairly normal means we can go to restaurants, we can go to basketball games, we can go to the mall, but of course we wear a mask until the vaccination campaign is fully operational. Then we'd be able to drop the masks.

A hardcore 6 week shutdown NATIONWIDE would have nearly snuffed the virus out. I'm talking 100% compliance. After that it would be a military operation because, make no mistake, we are at war.

You cannot do ANYTHING half measure against one of the most infectious viruses we've ever seen. It must be TOTAL. But the good news is, the lifecycle of the coronavirus is relatively short. We only have to be intense for a few weeks.

But beyond all that hindsight, had everybody just worn the masks 24/7 outside their homes from the beginning, we'd be in so much better shape. That is ALL on Trump.
