If you have never seen the movie Patriot with Mel Gibson it is an awesome movie to watch on the Fourth of July. It might be over dramatized but it shows the sacrifices the early Americans made for a new country. I have never known too much about the Revolutionary War but this movie opened my eyes to the brutality that is war. Even with all of the brutality the Patriots never got selfish, they never put there needs infront of the needs of the new country. That is truly what sacrificing is.
