[QUOTE=MoValley John;415003]Does indoor soccer draw well in Wichita? I'm just curious. I think they tried various levels of indoor soccer in Omaha, but I don't think it ever caught on. Do they play at IBA?[/QUOTE

Cant really speak on it now but I remember the Wings doing pretty good before they decided to fold in the 90's the alast few years of their run wasnt to good attendence wise. Always looked forward to seeing the players come to my school every year for varying reasons.

Been binging on old Wings videos on YouTube tonight! Great memories from my childhood in the 80's. I forgot Mike Kennedy used to do some of their TV broadcasts (and maybe radio).

There were some great guys working their magic behind the scenes ... Steve Schad, Bruce Haertl, Al Green, Charlie Munschelford ...

I worked for the Wings from 1988-90 as Media Relations Director. It was a fun time, not doubt. Me, Dale Ervine, Mike Fox and Chico Borja played our share of golf during down time. Great memories.

Why was the St. Louis team named the Steamers and not Cleveland?

Because Cleveland didn't have their sh*t together at that time.

          Pecher...not even close.

          Dowler was consistent and solid.

Van Eron...now that is old school.

And finally, who chased more tail at the local high schools, Andy Chapman or Jeff Bourne?

Slobo was a much better keeper.

I remember Dowler trying to burn the jersey he wore in the south tunnel after an 8-2 loss.
